“You can’t go past Tulloch if you want an adviser you can absolutely trust and rely on. We turn to Tulloch for advice across all aspects of our business and family affairs.” CEO, Agrico Produce

Tulloch provides corporate advice and corporate envoy services to high net worth individuals and families on an “in-house advisor” basis.

This service allows Tulloch’s clients to access a wealth of broad business, legal and tax knowledge gained from over 23 years of seasoned commercial advisory experience. It also provides our clients with access to an extensive network of business community relationships.

These services can be delivered on both a long term and an ad hoc basis, and can be tailored to include specialist tax, property and legal advice specifically aimed at high net worth families.

Tulloch can also assist with guiding and mentoring through generational change.

Family Advisory Services

Family advisory services offered by Tulloch

Tulloch works in much entrusted relationships with its clients:

  • Assisting key stakeholders to develop an investment strategy consistent with a desired risk and reward appetite and the long term wealth creation and protection outcomes being sought. These issues often need to have regard to and take account of inevitable generational evolution.
  • Working with the key stakeholders and ‘the next generation’ to put in place a structure that can accommodate and traverse generational change. This includes, where applicable, working with key stakeholders to develop and mentor skills within the next generation of wealth guardians – sometimes a message can be more easily digested if it doesn’t come from immediate family members.
  • Overseeing and leading the consideration of business investment opportunities and transaction initiatives, including execution and where applicable, integration. This includes acting as gatekeeper and sense checker of introduced ideas (i.e. someone who can allow key stakeholders to be, or to be seen to be, quarantined from making tough commercial decisions, often involving personal relations).
  • Originating wealth creation opportunities.
  • Working with the key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic, operational and governance improvement initiatives across investee businesses, as well as across the overall family investment portfolio.
  • Overseeing and monitoring broad investment portfolio performance including:
    • operational and management performance in the case of investee businesses
    • considering and implementing ongoing investment portfolio rebalancing where appropriate
    • considering and implementing capital management strategies
    • assisting with corporate legal matters
    • assisting with managing and structuring tax affairs
    • assisting with risk management and asset protection considerations
  • Tulloch can assume the role of the go-to person who understands the family’s assets and affairs and can therefore deal with issues on behalf of the family as they arise. This allows key stakeholders to focus their attentions on their priorities, rather than distractions that have come to bear.
  • Tulloch can offer personnel with the experience and gravitas to act as a delegate in situations where the key stakeholder can’t be personally present i.e. Board/Negotiation Proxy.
  • Tulloch can offer to be the backstop that understands “where everything is, how everything works, and how it is to be transitioned to the next generation”, in circumstances where the need may arise.
